Terms of Service — last updated: October 2026

Last updated: October 2026

These terms govern your use of unixflux.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the Site.

UnixFlux is a Unix timestamp converter: it converts Unix timestamps to UTC and local time and back, supporting seconds, milliseconds and microseconds, plus batch parsing and six world time zones. In practice, it detects the unit from the magnitude of the number, since a seconds value is ten digits and a milliseconds value is thirteen, then formats it in the selected zone so a log line and a local clock can be compared directly. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.

Everything the tool works with — the timestamps you paste — is handled locally. It is usually reached for things like batch-converting a column of epoch values, and because nothing is transmitted a visitor can close the tab knowing no copy was made anywhere.

The service we provide

This Site is a free, browser-based Unix timestamp converter. Its output is produced from your input using the stated method and is provided for information and education, not as advice. Output from a developer tool is intended for you to review and test; responsibility for what you do with it stays with you.

No advice relationship

Using this Site does not establish a professional relationship with us, and no result should be treated as professional advice. The judgement about how to use it is yours.

Intellectual property

The design, wording and code are ours or used under license unless credited otherwise. Linking is encouraged; reproducing large sections needs written permission.

Third-party content and advertising

Advertising, served by outside networks, funds the Site, and some pages reference external resources. We do not control that material and are not answerable for it, and no advert influences a result.

Service availability

There is no promise of continuous availability: any tool or page may be altered or removed, and the service is supplied in its current state.

What we are not liable for

As far as the law permits, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and for any decision taken in reliance on a result from the Site.

Governing law

The law that applies to these terms is that of the jurisdiction where the Site operator is established, ignoring conflict-of-law principles.

Reviewing what a tool produces

Treat output as a starting point rather than a finished artefact. Review, adapt and test it yourself; responsibility for anything that ships rests with you, not with the tool.

Accuracy

We aim to be correct and to say how the result is produced. That is not a warranty: results may contain mistakes and the material may fall out of date. Treat any figure with a known margin as an estimate.

What you may and may not do

Personal and professional use is fine. What is not: disrupting the Site, scraping it hard enough to slow it for others, passing it off as your own, or using it unlawfully.
